If you’ve read some of my previous pieces, I’ sure you’ve picked up that the theme of perseverance is somewhat of a recurring one in my life right now. If I’m not punishing myself training for a marathon, I’m looking for the next avenue to pursue in my career, or trying to lose just that one extra kilo before my holiday.
Is it because I’m just a big old a sucker for pain, or am I just too damn over-ambitious? I still don’t know. Yet somehow I always find myself at any point in time with a goal – big or small. And I’m getting the sense that in a world where everything is faster, larger, newer – we’re all somewhat chasing our tails. We are overwhelmed and unsatisfied.
But when is enough enough? How does one know when it is ok to move on and just do you?
Today would like you to take a step back, evaluate the important things in your life, and cut out the clutter. You don’t have to be all things to all people – do what you love, and the rest? Bugger it.
Life’s too damn short.
