Okaaaay, maybe a chapter of a book a day will do!! Lol!! This article is not a book review, but rather it’s a reflection of how reading these books had changed my way of thinking and, in turn, has empowered me.
Well of course the book must be of a good standard to have such an effect. Which one is it? The very popular ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ by Robert T Kiyosaki. This book is a golden oldie, which truly testifies of their wonderfullness!!
Alrighty, Rich Dad Poor Dad is a book that illustrates the power that financial lliteracy has and how people with sufficient financial literacy have no choice but to be successful in life. Kiyosaki tackles this through drawing diagrams and explaining it in plain English words. It’s so interesting how this book uses regular vocabulary, highlights the power of using vivid verbs, in the words of my beloved high school English teacher. This book has changed the way I look at money, making it and even spending it. One thought I had always magnified at the back of my heart is that of a person who values money being shallow and not being God’s servant. Kiyosaki has managed to transform my way of thinking, by teaching me that in order to make loads of money one has to be very deliberate in doing so, making your vision and aspirations very definite. It’s so unfortunate that I misplaced this wonder before I could even finish!!! But it has changed me ya’ll!!!!
Make no mistake, I am a full-blown Christian and I believe one must “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” according to Matthew 6:33. I also believe we should “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” My hearts desire is to be completely and absolutely rich.
